New to version 3.0 of Budgetizer is the ability to import data from an external file. Budgetizer includes a plug-in for importing from *.OFX files, which are commonly used by online banking systems as well as Microsoft® Money. Plug-ins for other file formats may become available at a later time.
To use Budgetizer with your online banking system, go to your bank's web site, and choose to download your account data. Most banks will give you several file format options. Choose the one labeled "OFX", "Open Financial Exchange Format", or "Microsoft Money". Make sure the file you download ends with .ofx. Save this file somewhere you can find it, and then go to the Account you want to import data into in Budgetizer. Either click the import button or choose "File" > "Import Data..." from the main menu. This will import all of the transactions from the file into Budgetizer. You will be presented with a list of these transactions when the process is complete. You may edit them at this time if you wish.
