Budget System

The Budget System is the basic container for everything you do in Budgetizer. A Budget System contains Budget Items, Budget Rules, Parties, and Accounts. The elements contained in a Budget System are all related, and are able to interact. However, different Budget Systems are separate and cannot interact with each other. For example, you can transfer funds from one Accounts to another if both Accounts are in the same Budget System. You cannot transfer funds between Accounts in different Budget Systems.

(Note: There is a way to achieve this effect, however. Click here for more information.

Multiple Budget Systems can be useful when you are maintaining separate sets of Accounts. For example, if you were involved in a local club, you might use one Budget System to manage your personal finances, and another to manage the finances of the club. Each Budget System can be given a unique descriptive name to help organize them.

Multiple Budget Systems are especially useful when more than one person uses Budgetizer on the same computer. For example, each person in a family can have their own Budget System to keep track of their own finances. Each Budget System can be given a password for security, so that even when multiple people use the program, your personal data will remain secure.

You must create at least one Budget System to do anything useful in Budgetizer.
