A Brief Tour of Budgetizer

The first thing that you will need to do is create a Budget System. To make this easier, when you first run the program, a wizard will walk you through this process. If you did not create a Budget System when you first ran Budgetizer, or if you wish to create another Budget System, click here to find out how.

The next step is to create one or more Accounts. A common use of Budgetizer is to manage and balance a checking account. Again, the program will walk you through this process, but if you did not create an Account with the setup wizard, or if you wish to create another Account, click here to find out how.

Once you have an Account set up, you can begin entering transactions. Budgetizer makes it easy to enter and maintain your Account's transactions in a fashion very similar to a checkbook ledger. Click here to learn more about entering transactions.

However, to get full benefit of Budgetizer's capabilities, you should create parties, Budget Items, and Budget Rules to automatically assist you in budgeting your money. You can also import data from an external file to allow you move from another program or to use online banking.
