New to version 3.0 is the ability to import data from a file. Using a plug-in system, Budgetizer can import data from various data file formats. This funcionality can be accessed from the Account Transaction Screen by either clicking on the Import tool button or by choosing the "File" > "Import data..." menu item. Budgetizer comes with a plug-in for reading *.OFX files, which is a common format used by many online banking systems. It is also the primary format of Microsoft® Money, which will allow you to import data from that program as well as other programs compatible with it. Other plug-ins may become available at a later time.
To use the import function, either click the import button or choose "File" > "Import Data..." from the main menu. This will import all of the transactions from the file you choose into Budgetizer. You will be presented with a list of these transactions when the process is complete. You may edit them at this time if you wish.
